Rate limits
Each API key has a per-minute request budget. Every response tells you where you stand.
Limits
Keys start at 60 requests a minute, refilled continuously, so short bursts are fine. Limits are per key; ask us if you need more. Reading an open stream counts once, when you open it.
Headers
Every authenticated response carries RateLimit-Limit and RateLimit-Remaining. When you run out, you get 429 with Retry-After in seconds.

Wait Retry-After seconds, then retry with the same Idempotency-Key. Don't retry in a tight loop: every rejected request is a request too.
